PROBLEM

Quattrowerk’s previous website, built using GoDaddy’s included page builder with a WordPress back-end, was outdated, difficult to update, and not converting. The previous developer failed to create proper SEO blog posts, and the interface for creating these posts was not user-friendly. The client was reluctant to update their website due to its convoluted nature. Additionally, the website’s pricing was expensive relative to the client’s expectations. The promised conversions and loading speeds were not met.

APPROACH

I performed a complete platform migration and focused on speed, SEO, and easy client editorial control. The website was built using NextJS and I integrated a Sanity back-end so the client could write their own blogs, update important vehicle maintenance information such as oil change intervals, and allowed for the creation of new staff members among other things. Core steps included: - Audit and migration planning to preserve SEO quality and established 301 redirects for existing URLs. - Rebuild of the brand in collaboration with Stephen Davis, a Colorado Springs designer, and Steven Duggan, another local Colorado Springs designer, to create a new brand feeling. - Image optimization is handled through NextJS in conjunction with using .WEBP format for the images to further bolster the page rendering and page speed. The images are currently hosted locally for optimal load times. - Using Vercel's hosting platform, the website was deployed to the edge network. - The contact form was built to remove any friction in requesting an appointment and integrated with Google's SMTP sending so the client gets an email as well as the team at Quattrowerks.

OUTCOME

The rebuild delivered a high-performing, SEO-friendly mechanic website that is easier to maintain and faster for users. Highlights: - Faster page loads and improved Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) on both mobile and desktop. - Cleaner semantic markup and schema improved indexability and enabled richer search snippets. - Reduced maintenance time and lower resource usage due to lean templates and caching strategies. - Empowered content editors with a simplified Sanity workflow, shortening the time to publish new blogs and maintenance intervals. - Better user experience supporting higher engagement and stronger lead capture. - Within the first month, a previously unused website contact form had 6 qualified leads with that number growing every month.
